Top 10 Countdown Show Trivia Question

These days it seems like you can stream all of your favorite shows from years gone by. Well, almost all of them. This five-season comedy-drama was inspired by a production of Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew and featured some incredible music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Today, the cost to secure those rights is one of the reasons the show is not available on streaming platforms. Debuting on March 3, 1985 and nominated for four Primetime Emmy Awards from 1986 – 1987, can you guess this series that aired on ABC for 5 seasons? Take a listen to the show below for the answer.

Song Spotlight

Limahl – Never Ending Story

Christopher Hamill known professionally as Limahl was the lead singer of the pop group Kajagoogoo beginning in 1981. You might remember their 1983 hit Too Shy.  But a year later he embarked on his solo career. Brief but quite successful as he was tapped to sing the title track from the 1984 film The NeverEnding Story. Reaching #1 in Norway and Sweden, #2 in Austria, Germany, Italy and eventually #6 on the Adult Contemporary chart.  This week it’s up 10 spots to #28 and while many songs just fade out, The NeverEnding Story not only fades out, but also fades in, thus making it “never-ending.”
