Speaking of music royalty, the top-selling Christmas album of all time is Elvis’ Christmas Album, with over 10 million copies sold. Written by David Foster and his then wife Linda Thompson in 1990, this holiday favorite was originally recorded by David, with Natalie Cole on vocals. Then in 1992, Amy Grant released a version for her album, Home for Christmas. But it was Kelly Clarkson’s rendition in 2003, that was released on the album American Idol: Great Holiday Classics that reached #17 on the Adult Contemporary chart: My Grown Up Christmas List.
