Gregg Alexander of the New Radicals originally recorded this song by Santana, but album producer Clive Davis felt a female voice would maximize the song’s appeal so a recording of it with Tina Turner was completed. When Tina declined to participate in making a video for the track, Clive recruited Macy Gray although he wasn’t satisfied with that version.
