Born in Sydney, Australia, Rick Springfield started his career in the teen-idol band Zoot before embarking on a successful solo career in 1972. He then turned acting and played Dr. Noah Drake on the soap opera “General Hospital” in the early 80s. While he was in New York taping episodes and doing concerts on the weekends, Rick wrote this #2 smash hit from 1982. Your Love Song of the Day is: “Don’t Talk to Strangers.”
