Vonda Shepard is perhaps best known for her starring role as a fictionalized version of herself on the hit TV series “Ally McBeal” that ran for five seasons starting in 1997. Vonda recorded five soundtrack albums as well as the series’ theme song “Searchin’ My Soul,” which saw international commercial success. Prior to which, Vonda got her first taste of fame when sang the duet  “Can’t We Try” with Dan Hill in 1987 that led to a record deal and her debut, self-titled album in 1989.
