Kenny Loggins’ 1977 debut solo album represented a slight move away from the folk-rock vibe that he had with his partner, Jim Messina, to a more polished, soft rock sound. For the title track, Kenny didn’t set out to write a Christmas song but it was his producer, Phil Ramone, who persuaded him to write about being homesick while he was away during the holiday time. Your Holiday Love Song of the Day is Celebrate Me Home.
