LeRoy Bell and Casey James wrote songs for artists including The O’Jays, Gladys Knight & the Pips and the Temptations. Although it was a project that brought together Elton John with producer Thom Bell, who happened to be LeRoy’s Uncle. Well, Leroy and Casey wrote 3 songs for Elton that was on the EP “The Thom Bell Sessions” one of which would top the chart in 1979 becoming Elton’s 4th #1 hit .
