Released in 1985 as the debut single from their second album “Welcome to the Real World,” Mr. Mister co-wrote this song with lyricist John Lang, who was inspired by a book from Lebanese poet-philosopher Kahlil Gibran. The record shares an identical lyric with the 1968 Beatles song “Blackbird,” which lead singer Richard Page described as “a mindless unintentional reference” attributable to both compositions being influenced by the Gibran novel. Your Love Song of the Day is: “Broken Wings.”
