Written when Paul Carrack, Jim Capaldi, and Timothy B. Schmit were considering forming a new rock band that never came to fruition, Timothy didn’t let the song go to waste as he suggested it for the Eagles‘ reunion album “Hell Freezes Over” in 1994. Despite the song being rejected by their manager, Irving Azoff, it still went on to become a hit, spending three weeks at the top of the Adult Contemporary chart.
